highlights of my weekend

i decided to have an awesome weekend with jason gone. and we did! here are the highlights.

FRIDAY

*we got the go ahead from the doctor that indy could go outside again. that alone made my week!

*friday morning drew slept until 9:45! indy slept til 7:00! i slept til 7:01!

*my dad stopping by. i love my dad so much and it makes my day when he comes over to say hi. my kids love him too!

*mare and i went to the gateway. it was so much fun! drew had a blast in the water fountains but once that music started there was no stopping drew! that kid has moves! we did some shopping and went to the new movie "Up". who needs husbands when you have their credit card. right? oh i love my sister!

*the boys sitting through the entire show. indy actually slept the whole time!!!

* going over for dinner at jake and jana's. jana made the best homemade pizza i have seriously ever had! thanks again!

SATURDAY

*going to the petting zoo with my mother- in- law and nephew. they got to ride horses, hold baby lambs, and feed all the animals. they loved it!

* my dear dear friend ann came over and we caught up on the last few years. i could talk to her for hours!

*having a pizza party with our cute little neighbors. drew and trey are best little buddies.

*the boys asleep by 7:30pm.

*jason coming home. :)

NOT HIGHLIGHTS OF MY WEEKEND!!!!

*finding the toothbrush i use to clean my floors (around the toilet!!) by indy's toys. i know there is no way it got there without going in his mouth. AHHH!

*doing this.

*teenagers out of school for the summer.

other than those 3 things we had a great weekend. the best part of it though was when jason came home! we missed him!

after thinking about giving up my blog a friend of mine mentioned she uses her blog as a journal since she doesn't really have time to keep one up. she prints it at the end of each year and i thought that was a great idea. so i'm thinking i might start putting a little more time and effort into my blog.

something else i've been thinking about, anytime jason goes out of town or works late i tend to pout the whole time he's gone. (i know shocking, right? :)) so this weekend while he is gone, instead of staying home, doing the same thing i do everyday i'm going to take the kids out and have an awesome weekend! (spending all his money!) anybody want to join me? :)

it has been forever since my last post and i'm kind of thinking this whole blogging thing isn't so much for me. i love reading others and hearing what everyone is up to but i really don't seem to have the time or motivation to keep up on mine! but as long as i'm signed in and posting i'll do a little catch up.

last month i woke up on a saturday morning and said, "jason! let's go to disneyland!" he said, "ok" so we left sunday morning at 5:00a.m. for a week. it was so much fun. even though it was spur of the moment i think it was one of the best vacations i've ever been on. i don't think i've ever laughed so much, slept so little, and enjoyed my family as much as i did. it was really such a good time and we were able to create so many memories. drew was so much fun. he would not walk, he would dance down the streets. his favorite ride was splash mountain and we went on it 20+ times on our last day. no lines! i think it may have been a little rough on indy but for the most part he did really good. we can't wait to go back!

jason and drew have started to go fishing saturday mornings. it is so cute to watch them get ready and see them bonding through this. jason is such a good dad. we have gone fishing a couple times as a family this year. it's so much fun!

indy is growing so fast. too fast. i heard both boys crying in the other room the other day so i automatically yelled out "drew! be nice!" but when i went in, indy was on top of drew grabbing at him. they definetely keep me busy but jas and i love every minute of it. (besides the fact that indy has decided he is just too cute to sleep at night or take naps)

we are loving this spring weather and looking forward to all the bbq's, family parties, and camping trips coming our way! (and 2 new babies! wait not me, marilyn and kelly)

mother of the year

Drew: "mommy i'm a little tired. i think i need to take a nap."

Me: "ok buddy i'll tuck you in"

Drew: "well i need to clean up my toys first"

Me: .................................................................

found a cure.

i think i found a cure for RSV. one minute he is miserable so i give him this.

next thing i know he's as happy as can be! it sprouts teeth too!

Poor little guy

my sweet little indy is so sick. this weekend he started to get a little cough. we weren't too concerned though because there was no fever. on sunday we were having a bbq at our house and indy still had a little cough so we decided to call everyone and tell them so they could decide if they still wanted to come. right as everybody started showing up we noticed him getting a fever so i decided to run him into instacare. turns out he has RSV. they gave him oxygen and a breathing treatment. it has been such a miserable couple of days. it's a nasty little bug. we take him to the hospital several times a day for treatments and he hates it. he is normally the happiest little guy but he has been crying 24/7. i feel so bad for him. hopefully the worse is over. i can't wait to see this sweet smile back on his face.

valentines

for valentines we went rock climbing with the boys. it was way fun. drew was a little nervous, but i think a few more tries and he'll love it.

then we hosted a friendly game of texas holdem. it was a blast although i'm out a big$5. grrr. dang martinez's.

our remodel is almost done. we need to do cabinets and finish countertops and decorate. this is what it's looking like so far
